Cozy MK IV

My very first venture into designing a Canard plane back in 2005.

It was a very successful flying model and flew exceptionally well for a foamie parkflyer.

Page 6, post #83 - Declaring i won't let edmond22 from www.daddyhobby.com take 20% profit from my Cozy plans on his now-defunct and abandoned www.simplewing.com site. Go read all his posts, on any forum everywhere, he just wants to win every argument, a definite tell-tale sign of superiority complex, or lack of...Then he, together with some sleeping directors, jason, simon, jephrey from www.rc-ms.com.sg forum which i also was one of the paying founders, started a thread there to discredit me, at this time i was already not a member in that forum anymore because my account was deleted by simon. So many friends saw that thread, went in to refute their allegations but was met swiftly with immediate deletions and that thread was finally "cleaned" up, "locked" so that nobody else can come in to rebut, edmond22 was doing very bad things to me i.e. displaying bank transactions without owner's permission and so forth etc etc. Proof? i have tonnes of print-screen images of this thread to proof it existed and why they failed in their futile attempts to discredit me. Through this interesting episode, i finally knew who are my true friends, those who stood by me, those who sat on the fence, and those who stood by those idiots just because they share the same ego problem, I will forever stay away from people with ego problem, period.

I have struggled with this for a long time and now, i decided to put all this in writing because many people i met today still believed all the rubbish stories about why i was kicked out of rc-ms forum and also why i was not loyal and dedicated to Mike Kong at daddyhobby forum, some flying friends avoided me because of the untruths told about me. I explained to them what happened and they now know the truth.

I resigned as a moderator at daddyhobby forum first before joining rc-ms forum, to avoid comflict of interest. I was torn between being a friend to simon and also to Mike Kong, very awkward for me i tell you. Many, like me, was persuaded by jason cho(Ant, forest gum) to join rc-ms, "poached", if you would like that terminology and i think that was the biggest mistake i had ever made. Started to contribute to rc-ms forum, new build threads and all, also wanted to find more new ways to attract membership, printed polo-Ts, go on national tv to promote this new r/c forum, do banners to be placed at hobby shops etc but ultimately simon (RX300) wants to take control of the forum, cannot this, cannot that, he made it clear that this forum is his...maybe he is not happy, red eye perhaps? Boy, what a surprise, what else can i say? This forum was contributed financially by us annually and he says this forum is his? yet no contributions or build threads from him and still asked others to contribute? I say fine, i will say good-bye to you and really would not like to have anything to do with this new forum. How infuriated simon and the gang became? Simon and jason cho contacted edmond22 of daddyhobby forum, welcomed edmond22 into rc-ms forum, which he had said publicly will never join, to post that first thread i mentioned above, that's how it all started, edmond22 and me...while they sat on the sidelines watching the slugfest between edmond22 and me, how childish can these folks be? these guys are all family man with growing kids for goodness sake!

The episode ended though that thread lasted about a week or so, they were forced to abandon this whole crap and deleted that edmond22 thread on rc-ms forum, edmond22 happily went back to bash whoever he can get his hands on at daddyhobby forum and i'm sure many members there know what kind of a argumentative person he is, simon finally uttered this few words to some of us on MalayAsian hangar thread at RC-Universe forum ..."guys no hard feelings..."  it was never ever a word of regret or remorse from him, for all the crap he and jason cho did to me. With their ego busted and shamed, they swept this whole crap under the carpet and pretended nothing had happened and started to talk bad about me to others, going all the way to make friendship with local top turbine jet flyers so they will look good. I tried to explain to some turbine flying friends, some understood, but some have been poisoned and blinded and would not give me an ear to explain. They say come fly with them, i said no, not with those folks thank you, when i wanted to explain, some don't want to hear the details. rc-ms's existence is solely to spite daddyhobby forum, period. It's really sad to see things happening this way, i really feel sorry that our local r/c forums are still in it's infancy and not mature enough to talk anything serious about this hobby, some are really riding on ego, thinking it would carry them very far.

I had met Mike Kong (HZM), owner of daddyhobby forum and we had a good heart-to-heart chat and all misunderstandings between us was finally cleared, we're good friends again. 

In all, an apology is still found wanting from the relevant persons but it is still not conveyed to me in any solid way. But I have left this episode behind and continued to pursue my hobby which i love. This cozy plan and subsequent events that followed will forever leave a deep impression on me. yup... cozy... haha, those silly things did happen to me, wow...

Canard plane's flight character is very unique, there is virtually no wingtip stall on the main wing as the canard will stall first, which will then nudge the nose down and the plane will pick up speed and it will fly again. The Cozy is designed by Nat Pufer.
