My good friend, Fred Keegan's build log of his Sunderland Flying Boat. Fred hails from West Yorkshire, England. A very good and experienced builder himself.

The flying boat that he is going to build. This one was built by Tony Nijuis, i think LOL!

Fred bought an Airfix model of it, to get a good feel of the many compound curves i suppose.

All the wood, ply, formers, plastic moulded parts arrived and Fred couldn't wait to start this project!

Cabin windows created using a very simple cylindrical tool.

Formers and sides jigged and glued.

Balsa planking of bottom hull.

Bottom completed.

Turned upright, ready to lay down stringers.

All stringers layed down and glued.

She's really taking shape.

Kept on top of the cupboard temporarily, the build will resume soon... watch this space!

Gun turret at the top, aft of fuselage.

Rudder and elevators are up. Fred is a fast builder! LOL!

Wiring up the motors in the main wing.

Wiring up LED for starboard wingtip.

Small incision on wing, LED wire installed inside and patched up with balsa again.

She's ready for painting.

She's Big!!!
